We got to attend a fiesta with our fellow language students at one of our language teachers relatives home. Fiesta is like a block party or summer 4th of July get together with parade.
The only difference is that Fiesta is all built around the area saint being honored. There is lots of food. You can go to other friends and families houses and you eat, eat, eat. They have parades and games and items for sale.
They have candles to burn at the church. The family that had us over rented a karaoke machine for the occasion.
They love karaoke here are are happy when their visitors will do it too. It is a fun get together for all and you do not
walk away hungry!
